I'm still plugging away on Kuba. I have about 6 squares left to knit on the back yoke and then I will be able to begin the neck stripe and collar. I have a choice between a folded collar and a zippered collar. I think for now I will stick with the folded collar.
I have not touched Icarus in ages. Maybe once Kuba is completed, I'll pick up Icarus again, although I have my eyes on a new project - Arrowheads, from "Knitting Out of Africa," which is where the pattern for Kuba came from. There is steeking involved with this sweater so that will be a first. It also involves stranded two-color knitting, also another first for me. In addition, it recommends the continental method of knitting, yet again another first for me. This will be a good challenge and one I am seriously considering -- lots of firsts.
